Since there is a serious problem with having Audio Inputs "stick" to your selected ones with the "G3" and 3rd party AV cards, we made a few modifications to try and address the situation. This may or may not work for all G3 owners (especially the ones using OS 8.0).
1) Select your Sound Input source - either from the Sound Input Control Strip or the Monitor & Sounds control panel. It should probably be set to "Sound in" as the source.
3) Type "Command - T" (File menu > New Video Window) to bring up the video window.
4) Click on the Digitizer menu, slide way down to the "Force Audio Input" item and select it (make sure it's "Check marked").
5) Press "play" on your vcr / camcorder / TV Tuner. At this point, you should be able to "hear" and record the audio.
6) You can also use the Audio Settings… dialog (under the Digitizer Menu) to set your Sample audio settings like Rate, bit size and mono / stereo. MyVidCap should restore the correct Audio Inputs afterwards and you'll be able to both hear and record your audio with the video.
This may not work reliably if some other application, extension or control panel "gloms" onto the sound input and changes it behind our back, which is what were doing to the Audio part of the QuickTime SequenceGrabber.
We also recommend that if you've installed Quicktime 2.5 and are using MacOS 8.0 or 8.1, then drag the Sound Manager (version 3.2.1 - which is older than your current version) out of the extension folder and re-start. When QT 2.5 gets installed, it installed the old sound manager into the extension folder, and a few G3 beta testers got far fewer problems if they remove it.
